Assumption's Molly Sigler and Becca Sigler gave Mosinee a dose of "Wonder Twin" power during soccer action on Thursday night.

The sophomore fraternal twins -- Molly has brown hair and Becca is a redhead -- accounted for three goals to lead the Royals to a 6-0 whitewashing of Mosinee at Washington Field.

Fellow sophomore Hannah Osowski scored one goal and had a hand in three others during the Royals' scoring assault.

"I think we're starting to work better as a team," Molly Sigler said. "We're getting good crosses from the side that we're able to put in the net. We're coming along well. We've got a good group of girls who play well together."

Assumption got off to a quick start, scoring three goals in the first nine minutes of the game.

Molly Sigler got the Royals rolling with her first goal at 4:01 off a nice cross from Osowski.

Allie Chapman made it 2-0 with her unassisted goal and then Molly Sigler and Osowski joined forces again.

"We wanted to get off to a quick start so we could rest some players who were a little nicked up," Royals coach John Bingham said. "We were able to get some girls who don't see a lot of playing time in and it was nice to see what they could do."

Becca Sigler scored with under five minutes left in the half to make it 4-0.

Osowski's goal on a cross from Kelsey Peterson, who had a pair of assists, increased the Royals' lead to five, while Jada Straub closed out the scoring for Assumption.

Mosinee coach Dustin Schellin was pleased with the improvement his team showed since the team's last match. He also mixed up his lineup since he will be short for starters on Saturday when those girls will be competing in the State Solo and Ensemble.

"We tried quite a few girls at different positions and I thought they responded well," Schellin said. "We were more competitive than the last time we played Assumption, so overall I was pleased."
