Marawood announces all-conference athletes
Daily Tribune staff
Pittsville senior Zach Heuer received Marawood Conference first-team honors on offense and defense in football, earning the recognition at offensive line and defensive end/outside linebacker.
Assumption seniors Ben Kinzel (QB) and Tyler Hafermann (OL) also received first-team honors on offense, while senior Andy Joosten rounded out the Royals' first-team representation as a punter.
Volleyball
Assumption senior Liz Sigler was the lone area volleyball player named to the 2007 Marawood Conference South Division first-team.
Sigler was a unanimous selection
Auburndale senior Heather Kulibert was named the conference Player of the Year, and was also named to the South Division first team.
Auburndale senior Jenna Panzer and sophomore Reba Berger also made the first team.
Spencer had two players named to the first team. Seniors Taylor Johnson and Kiki Phillips both received selections.
Stratford junior Cassie Krum and Assumption senior Liz Sigler round out the South's first team.
In the North Division, Abbotsford seniors Klare Kalepp and Sara Beran were both named to the first team.
Athens senior Crystal Schreiner, Edgar senior Michelle Zietlow, Marathon senior Lisa Blume and Val Schuster were all named to the first team.
