Wisconsin Women in Government announced recently nine new members to the 2007-08 board of directors, along with the organization's new leadership team. Among the women selected is Kristin Ruesch, legislative aide to Rep. Phil Montgomery, R-Ashwaubenon. Ruesch is from Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Assumption High School in 2002.
Since 1987, WWIG has raised money to support and encourage women to choose a career in government service. Every year, the organization awards scholarships to women pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate study in public service and administration and government affairs.
