Royal Event will be April 26

WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- Wisconsin Rapids Area Catholic Schools will hold its 29th Royal Event on April 26 at Assumption High School grounds. The event is from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The WRACS Royal Event is for the whole family and Wisconsin Rapids community. It will be full of games, music and food, including live and silent auctions, food booths, bingo, bakery items, kids carnival, inflatable rides and a raffle.

This year also will include a Royal Community Fun Run/Walk to benefit each person's favorite nonprofit organization or school. Registration is 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Assumption High School. The distance is about four miles. Registration forms are to be returned to the designated nonprofit organization by April 22. This year's Royal Event is co-sponsored by Nekoosa-Port Edwards Bank and Castle Rock Lake Wisconsin Water Front Development. Catholic Family Life Insurance will match up to $500 of the total funds raised. Proceeds will be used for operating expenses at local Catholic schools.
