Prep roundup: Erdmann leads Assumption baseball team past Pittsville

PITTSVILLE -- Alex Erdmann went 3 for 4 with a home run, leading the Wisconsin Rapids Assumption baseball team to a convincing 15-4 win over Pittsville in the Marawood Conference South Division opener for both teams.
Pittsville was led by Jordan Rayburn who was 2 for 3, but the Panthers allowed Assumption to score 12 runs with two outs.

GRESHAM -- Andrea Regalia pitched a complete game and hit a double, but Gresham took advantage of six errors by Port and picked up its first win.
Port's offense got the team off to a 4-0 lead and later a 5-1 lead, but that disappeared after the Wildcats put together a six-run inning in the bottom of the sixth.

PITTSVILLE -- Jenna Moran pitched a three hit-shutout and faced the minimum number of hitters as the Royals won.
Assumption tacked on four runs in the seventh inning and Brittney Brock went 2 for 4 for the Royals.
"We struggled hitting Kohl and both pitched outstanding games," Royals coach Jim Getzloff said.

PITTSVILLE -- The host Panthers swept the boys and girls team titles.
Dallas Oates won the 110 hurdles, 200 and triple jump, and Carli Kronstedt won the 1,600 and 3,200 to lead the Panthers girls team.
Auburndale's Jacob Dorshorst won the 110 and 300 hurdles, and triple jump to highlight the boys meet.
